Hello! My name is Emma and here's the truth. I love food. I love fitness. But I wasn't always that way.
I was your typical serial dieter, sugar junkie, avoider of all things fitness. Eventually I got to a point where I was feeling tired, dragged down, flabby and pretty much completely in a funk ALL OF THE TIME. And who wouldn't be? Long hours either studying or working, poor diet, failure at EVERY fad diet there was out there! Where was the solution to feeling great?? Because I wasn't finding it the conventional ways.
After a chance encounter with an amazing health food store guru, I began looking into nutrition and the HUGE correlation between what you eat and how you feel!
I then decided to enroll at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and graduated as a Registered Holistic Nutrition in 2008. In a phrase: IT CHANGED MY LIFE! Ditching processed foods, nixing inflammatory meals, and then adding exercise on top of that has SAVED ME. No joke! I LOVE what I do, I LOVE what I eat, and I LOVE teaching others about how to make their body and mind work as easily, happily, and freely as they're supposed to!
After I finished school, I decided to delve further and ended up becoming a Personal Trainer, a Group Fitness Instructor, Bootcamp Babe, YogaFit Instructor, and Zumba Instructor! There's no stopping me now!
It is my passion to teach others about how to have an awesome relationship with food and how to feel strong, energized, and powerful exercising! Teaching and empowering others about lifting weights, tossing kettle bells, and figuring out what exercise inspires THEM makes MY day! Strong is most definitely the new sexy and I love the fact that I am even just the smallest part of making people fitter, healthier, and happier!
